SELF SYMBOL GIF

1. My self symbol concept is a sun rotating and me blinking and smiling which is suppose to represent me being a happy person.  I choose to put a sun because I feel it represents happiness and  to connect it to me I added me smiling while the sun is rotating then I added the blinking to make it more realistic.

3. My idea has evolved because at first I was just going to do a sun rotating but that didn't really represent me so I added a drawing of myself to  help communicate a concept of my self and I added to details like smiling and eyes blinking to represent me.

Tamia Hunnid $$$

Final Picture

1st Picture

2nd Picture

For my project my concept was to put my face on a hundred dollar bill. I am happy with the results since its how i wanted it to look like. To create this image i used the magnetic lasso to cut out the portrait of me. Then I copied and pasted it to the 100 dollar bill photo, making it a new layer. I used the  magnetic lasso to cut out Benjamin Franklin. Then I filled in the space with a gray color. Then I placed my portrait  in a spot I liked then i used the layer mask to make the image fit in the circle. I also edited the brightness and the saturation to make it blend more with the the bill.

LETTER PROJECT REFLECTION

1.   Before I made my final drawing I did up to 20 thumbnail sketches of the letter U in different style to see which one I liked best. This was helpful because I got to see which one looked better then, I had peer feedback on my designs. This was helpful because they helped me pick which one I should do.
Here is a picture of my thumbnails sketches

2.  What I did to represent my concept visually in my design is I used  many different colors to give it a realistic effect. For example in the sun I didn't just use yellow but also red and many shades of oranges. Another thing I did was used small details in my designs like on the tree and the water.
This is a picture of my design .

Here is a closeup of my design .

3. The most challenging aspect of this project was coloring my design because I had to plan ahead because I couldn't erase it since it is in color pencils and I had to make sure I was using many  variations of one color to make it flow and realistic.

4. I am satisfied with my project because it looks like how I planned it to be and it looks like a U which is the letter I was assigned.

5.  If I could change anything about my design is maybe do a different background like where there is many other trees or plants around the U.

Summer

HELLO! I am Tamia and this is my graphic design blog. In this post I’m going to share some photos from my summer.

This a photo of the view when I went to Miami, Florida. I chose this photo because  I like the way the view looks.

This picture is when I went to this Cuban restaurant in Florida. I choose this picture because the food was so good!
This is a picture I took at the beach while I was in Miami. I decided to post this picture because it represented my summer because while I was in Miami I went to the beach everyday.
